Sim Kah Yong
Age: 45 A graduate majoring in English and Sociology from the National University of Singapore, Kah Yong has vast prior work experience. Born with congenital glaucoma, he was previously employed as telephone operator and Braille transcriber. He was also a welfare officer in Singapore Association of the Visually Handicapped. Conscientious and illustrious, he is currently pursuing his Post Graduate Diploma in Social Work. After joining DiD, Kah Yong has had the chance to further develop his soft skills. Through interaction with the management team, colleagues and visitors, he has learnt more about motivation and leadership.
Learning how to handle different types of difficulties and how to relate to varied personalities effectively has led to growth of both his intrapersonal and interpersonal skills. Leveraging fully on the skills learnt in DiD, Kah Yong was chosen to be one of our trainers' guide for DiD executive workshops.
