Yeo Peishan, Evangeline
Age: 21 The youngest among all the guides, Evangeline has a bubbly personality. Born with visual impairment, she worked previously as a telemarketer. Being partially sighted has moulded her to be a determined person. Evangeline has increased in confidence after guiding a variety of visitors through the exhibition. She derives pleasure from interacting with visitors from all walks of life and satisfaction from raising awareness for the visually impaired.
She feels that DiD plays an instrumental role in giving visitors a chance to meet people with disabilities and understand how they are able to contribute to the society. Evangeline wishes that more job opportunities will be available to those with visually impairment and is appreciative that she has been provided with one such opportunity herself. |
